Starting point: Château des Rubins car park
Head towards the Château des Rubins and take the steps up to the entrance.
Walking slightly uphill on your left, you will spot a small path marked with a “U” on the wall.
Follow this forest path as it winds along the lower part of the hillside.
After 10 to 15 minutes, you will reach the Immaculate Conception chapel. Visits are by request only; more information is available at the tourist office.
A bench nearby offers a perfect spot for a peaceful and scenic break.
Behind the chapel, turn left onto the Lévaud road and continue to the panoramic table, where you can admire the Aiguilles de Warens and identify the surrounding peaks.
Facing the viewpoint, cross the road to find a path descending into the forest towards the Lévaud gorges. A short stop below allows you to enjoy this cool and relaxing area, especially pleasant in summer.
Follow the path to the footbridge crossing the Lévaud stream.
On the right side of the footbridge, you will find the Lévaud Marian grotto, a symbolic and much-loved site. Take a moment to rest or admire this unusual landmark hidden in a peaceful setting.
To the right of the grotto, take a fairly steep forest path leading up to the Cordon road.
Once on the road, cross it and continue on the path towards the Rocher de Rochefort in Cordon.
Then follow the Cordon road with caution: step aside onto the verge when vehicles approach. Depending on the light conditions (backlighting), pedestrians may be less visible.
Before reaching the village, take a smaller road on the left that bypasses the main road and avoids traffic. It leads directly to the playground in the village center; from there, the tourist office and central square are about a 2-minute walk away.
